Beyond Returns: Vivint Smart Home’s Annual Birthday Bash

The nonprofit foundation of portfolio company Vivint Smart Home hosts an annual Birthday Bash for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities

Last month, Vivint’s nonprofit foundation Vivint Gives Back hosted its annual birthday bash for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In 2014, Vivint Gives Back sharpened its mission to focus on intellectually and developmentally disabled children, recognizing the significant impact its smart home technology has for them and their families.

With cameras, door and window sensors and other smart devices, a Vivint smart home system helps the parents of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities monitor their children’s activities, secure their homes and find greater peace of mind. In 2018, the Vivint Gives Back discount program helped nearly 600 families get access to smart home technology.

Through Vivint Gives Back the company and its employees have raised more than $18 million and donated more than 200,000 volunteer hours. Each September, Vivint hosts a “Birthday Bash” to create a special birthday for children of all abilities.

We’re proud to have Vivint and its nonprofit foundation in the Blackstone network. Read more about this year’s bash here.
