John Prete is a Managing Director in Blackstone’s Real Estate Group and Chief Operating Officer of Real Estate Americas Asset Management.

Since joining Blackstone in 2017, Mr. Prete has been involved in investments across several asset classes, including multifamily, Affordable Housing, student housing, manufactured housing, office, retail and self-storage.

Before joining Blackstone, Mr. Prete focused on US real estate acquisitions as a Portfolio Manager at the Abu Dhabi Investment and Vice President at Pacific Coast Capital Partners. Mr. Prete began his real estate career at Lehman Brothers Real Estate Partners.

Mr. Prete received a BS from Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Management, where he graduated cum laude.
