Our mission is to foster economic opportunity and career mobility for historically underrepresented groups. The Blackstone Charitable Foundation deploys its financial and human capital in support of programs that bridge opportunity gaps and support more equitable and thriving communities. Special emphasis is given to regions where we live and work.

Our Programs

Blackstone LaunchPad works with colleges across the United States to help students launch successful careers through entrepreneurial skills-building programs and opportunities to intern at organizations in our network, including Blackstone, our portfolio companies and select startups.

Since 2010, Blackstone LaunchPad has supported students on more than 75 college and university campuses, now with a focus on Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) and community colleges. In 2023, LaunchPad engaged more than 45,000 students.

Blackstone Connects is our global employee engagement program – a vehicle for Blackstone employees to support their local communities through volunteering and giving.

Through Blackstone Connects, we currently support nonprofits engaging employees across our 27 global offices. Nearly 90% of our employees participated in annual firm-sponsored charitable activities in 2023.

Giving Back at The CEO Conference

The Blackstone Gives Back Challenge is our annual competition where employees pitch on behalf of nonprofits for grant funding. For the first time, we brought this initiative to the Blackstone CEO Conference and had portfolio company CEOs compete.

Blackstone Gives Back Challenge

Nearly 400 employees competed in this year’s Blackstone Back Challenge. Together, they vied for $1 million of Blackstone Charitable Foundation grant funding for nonprofits of their choice.

Integrating Blackstone’s LaunchPad Into CUNY Inclusive Economy Initiative

The Blackstone Charitable Foundation recently invested in an initiative to help bridge CUNY students’ journeys
from college into the workplace – helping to create career opportunities for 1,200 additional CUNY students
annually.
