Nicolas R. Yamagata is a Managing Director in the Chief Legal Office, where he supports the Private Equity Group in the U.S. on legal transactional matters.
Before joining Blackstone in 2021, Mr. Yamagata worked at Davis Polk in the M&A Group in New York. Prior to working at Davis Polk, Mr. Yamagata worked at Cravath in the Corporate Group in New York, where he focused on M&A and capital markets transactions.
Mr. Yamagata received a B.A. in Finance, magna cum laude, from Loyola Marymount University, and a J.D., with honors, from the University of Chicago Law School.
