David Harpest is a Managing Director and serves as the Chief Compliance Officer for Blackstone’s Corporate Private Equity group.

Before joining Blackstone in 2019, he was a Vice President and Compliance Director at Walton Street Capital. Prior to that role, Mr. Harpest was a Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers focused on alternative asset management advisory. He began his career as a law firm associate and worked at Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobsen.

David received his Bachelor of Music from DePaul University with Honors and graduated cum laude with a J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law.
