Alan Fitts is the Chief Operating Officer of Corporate Affairs, Corporate Head of Sustainability, and a Managing Director at Blackstone based in New York. In this role he oversees operations and administration across Public Affairs, Marketing, and the Sustainability functions. Before joining Blackstone in 2025, Mr. Fitts served as the Vice President for Strategy and Operations for Corporate Affairs and Communications at American Express.

Previously, Mr. Fitts served as the Executive Secretary of the JPMorgan International Council.  From 2009 to 2017, he also held a number of senior staff positions at the White House and the US Department of State including roles as the Senior Advisor to the US Ambassador to France and Monaco, and as a Senior Aide to the First Lady of the United States. Early in his career, Mr. Fitts worked at Goldman Sachs in both London and New York.   Outside of Blackstone, Mr. Fitts is the Chairman of the Board of the Alliance for Peacebuilding.

Mr. Fitts holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Williams College.
