Sr. Managing Director
John Watson is a Senior Managing Director in the Tactical Opportunities Group, where he focuses on investment opportunities in the Technology, Digital Infrastructure and Media and Entertainment sectors. Mr. Watson has been involved in the firm’s investments across several asset classes including Anthropic, Integra, Firmus, OpenAI, CoreWeave, Hotwire and New Tradition Media. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Firmus, YES Network, Certified Collectibles Group, and New Tradition Media. He previously served as board observer at CoreWeave and Hotwire.
Before joining Blackstone in 2021, Mr. Watson worked at Morgan Stanley as an investment professional for the firm’s Infrastructure fund, and prior as an Investment Banker in the Media and Communications group.
Mr. Watson received a BA from Wesleyan University, an MBA from Columbia Business School.
