David Kestnbaum is a Senior Managing Director in the Private Equity Group. He currently leads investments in the Media & Entertainment, Communications, and Business Services sectors. Since joining Blackstone in 2013, Mr. Kestnbaum has led or been involved in Blackstone’s current investments in Alight Solutions, Ancestry, Candle Media, Encore, Merlin Entertainments, Packers Sanitation Services Inc. (PSSI), SERVPRO, SESAC, and Tradesmen, as well as prior investments in AlliedBarton Security Services, AVINTIV, Cloverleaf Cold Storage, DJO Global, and Outerstuff.

Before joining Blackstone, Mr. Kestnbaum was a Vice President of Vestar Capital Partners, and was previously a member of JPMorgan’s Financial Sponsor Group.

Mr. Kestnbaum holds a BA in Political Science from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He currently is a Director of Alight Solutions, Ancestry, Candle Media, Encore, SERVPRO, SESAC, and Tradesmen. He is a member of the Choate Rosemary Hall Alumni Association Executive Committee and previously represented Blackstone as a Partnership for New York City Rockefeller Fellow.
