George Holding is a Managing Director and European Head of Government Relations for Blackstone, based in London.

As a former Member of Congress, United States Attorney, counsel to a United States Senator, federal judge’s clerk and lawyer at a top 100 firm, he has handled a wide variety of issues on tax, trade, healthcare, foreign affairs, national security and intellectual property.

In the United States House of Representatives, Mr. Holding was Chairman of the British American Parliamentary Group (BAPG), the U.K. Caucus and the India Caucus.  He served as a Member of the Ways and Means Committee, Judiciary Committee, Foreign Affairs Committee, Budget Committee and Ethics Committee.  He has participated in the World Economic Forum, the European Parliament Transatlantic Dialogue and the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

Mr. Holding has degrees in classical studies and law from Wake Forest University and attended The Groton School.
