Sr. Managing Director
Brian Dunlap is a Senior Managing Director within the Private Capital Group based in San Francisco. Brian leads the firm’s relationships with single and multi family offices, endowments, and foundations across the West Coast.
Mr. Dunlap joined Blackstone in 2019 to launch the San Francisco office and lead investments in enterprise technology, proptech, and AI / cybersecurity. Mr. Dunlap’s investments at Blackstone include ISN Software, Entrata, Cvent, Procore, Articulate, and Vectra.ai. Brian was recognized by GrowthCap multiple times as a Top 40 Under 40 Investor as well a Top 25 Software Investor.
Prior to Blackstone, Mr. Dunlap led technology investments across TPG Capital and TPG Growth and served as Head of Technology for TPG RISE. Earlier in his career, Brian held technology investing roles at JMI Equity and General Atlantic. He began his career in M&A at Morgan Stanley in New York.
Mr. Dunlap holds a BA in Public Policy, an MA in International Policy, and an MBA from Stanford University.
