Jonathan Gray
President and COO
Jonathan (“Jon”) Gray is President & Chief Operating Officer of Blackstone and is a member of the Board of Directors. He sits on the firm’s Management Committee and nearly all of its investment committees.
Mr. Gray was appointed to his current role in 2018. Since that time, Blackstone’s assets under management have more than tripled to over $1.3T, as the firm has greatly expanded the breadth of clients it serves, including insurance companies and individual investors.
Mr. Gray previously led Blackstone’s Real Estate business, which he helped build into the largest commercial real estate platform in the world. He joined Blackstone in 1992 in the M&A and Private Equity areas.
Mr. Gray has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hilton Worldwide since 2007, and is also on the board of XRG.
He and his wife, Mindy, established the Basser Center for BRCA at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 2012 focused on the prevention and treatment of BRCA-related cancers. They have also established numerous programs for low-income children in New York, including creating NYC Kids RISE, a college savings initiative provided to every NYC public school kindergartner. The Grays have been named to The Chronicle of Philanthropy’s list of the largest donors in the U.S.
Mr. Gray received a BS in Economics from the Wharton School, as well as a BA in English from the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania.

Joan Solotar has served as a member of the Board of Directors since September 2024. She is also a member of the BXINFRA Investment Committee. Ms. Solotar is the Global Head of Blackstone’s Private Wealth business, which brings institutional quality investment products across a broad spectrum of alternative asset classes to high net worth clients and their advisors. She serves on Blackstone’s Management Committee and Operating Committee, as well as on the board of directors of First Eagle Investment Management. Additionally, Ms. Solotar serves as a member of the board of directors of Blackstone Private Equity Strategies Fund L.P. and is a member of the Blackstone Private Equity Strategies Fund L.P. investment committee. Before joining Blackstone in 2007, Ms. Solotar was Head of Equity Research at Bank of America Securities and a highly ranked Institutional Investor All Star financial services analyst at Credit Suisse and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Ms. Solotar is a member of the Board of Trustees of Mount Sinai Health System, Inc, and of the Board of Trustees of East Harlem Tutorial Program and East Harlem Scholars Academies. She wrote a Harvard Business Review article entitled, “Truths for our Daughters,” and co-authored, “Truths from My Daughter.” Ms. Solotar received a B.S. in Management Information Systems from the State University of New York at Albany and an M.B.A. in Finance from New York University.

Kenneth A. Caplan is the Global Co-Chief Investment Officer of Blackstone. As Co-CIO, he works in conjunction with business unit CIOs and Group Heads to provide additional firm-level investment oversight, primarily across Real Estate and Credit & Insurance (BXCI).
Mr. Caplan previously served as Global Co-Head of Blackstone Real Estate. Blackstone is the largest owner of commercial real estate and an industry leader in opportunistic, core plus and debt investing across North America, Europe and Asia.
Prior to becoming Global Co-Head of Blackstone Real Estate, Mr. Caplan served as Global Chief Investment Officer of Blackstone Real Estate and Head of Real Estate Europe. Since joining the firm in 1997, Mr. Caplan has been involved in over $100 billion of real estate acquisitions and initiatives in the United States, Europe and Asia. These include major acquisitions such as Equity Office Properties, Hilton Hotels, Logicor and GE Real Estate.
Before joining Blackstone, he was at Lazard Freres & Co. in the real estate investment banking group. Mr. Caplan received an AB in Economics from Harvard College, where he graduated magna cum laude, was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and was a John Harvard Scholar. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Prep for Prep.

Lionel Assant is the Global Co-Chief Investment Officer of Blackstone. As Co-CIO, he works in conjunction with business unit CIOs and Group Heads to provide additional firm-level investment oversight across Blackstone’s Private Equity (PE) complex, including Corporate PE, Infrastructure, Tactical Opportunities, Growth, and Life Sciences.
Mr. Assant joined Blackstone in 2003 and ran the European PE business from 2012 to 2026.
Mr. Assant currently serves as a Director of Clarion Events, CIRSA, BME (formerly CRH Building Materials Distribution), Bourne Leisure, VFS and Adevinta. He previously served on the boards of Gerresheimer, Klockner Pentaplast, Mivisa, United Biscuits, Alliance Automotive Group, Tangerine, Intertrust, Armacell, Cerdia, Schenck Process and the National Exhibition Centre.
Before joining Blackstone, Mr. Assant was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs in the Mergers & Acquisitions, Asset Management and Private Equity divisions.
Mr. Assant graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique with a Master’s in Economics. He is also involved with Impetus, a charitable foundation which provides resources to improve the lives of children and young people living in poverty.

Rashmi Madan is a Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Portfolio Solutions within Blackstone Private Wealth.
Ms. Madan joined Blackstone in 2011. Prior to her current role, she was Head of EMEA in Blackstone Private Wealth (from 2021 to 2026), Chief Operating Officer of Institutional Client Solutions (ICS) in Europe, as well as Head of ICS Europe for Blackstone Credit.
Before joining Blackstone, Ms. Madan worked for eight years in Credit Sales and Structured Credit at JPMorgan where she focused primarily on raising capital for CLO managers, hedge funds and private credit funds from European institutional investors. Prior to that, Ms. Madan spent five years at Morgan Stanley working in Leveraged Finance and Debt Capital Markets in London and New York, respectively.
Ms. Madan received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Cornell University where she majored in Industrial and Labor Relations.

Eric Liaw is a Senior Managing Director and the Chief Investment Officer of Blackstone Private Equity Strategies (BXPE). Mr. Liaw also serves as the Head of Corporate Development for Blackstone and in this capacity leads strategic mergers and acquisitions, new business initiatives, and special projects in support of Blackstone. Mr. Liaw is also a member of the firm’s Capital Markets, Enterprise Risk, Liquid Asset Investments, and Valuation Committee and serves as a director on the board of the Blackstone Charitable Foundation, where he is also chair of the Finance Committee.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Liaw was a Senior Managing Director in Blackstone’s private equity business, focused on investments in the energy sector. Prior to joining Blackstone in 2014, Mr. Liaw was a Principal at TPG Capital where he evaluated and executed investment opportunities in a wide range of industries. Prior to TPG, Mr. Liaw was an associate at Bain Capital, where he focused on private equity investments in a wide range of industries.
Mr. Liaw received his BA, with highest honors, and BBA, with highest honors, from the University of Texas at Austin and received his MBA, with distinction, from Harvard Business School.

Chris Dettman is a Managing Director in the Private Equity Group based in New York, where he focuses on investments in the Technology and Services industries. Since joining Blackstone in 2013, Mr. Dettman has worked in both the New York and Tokyo offices and has been involved in the execution of Blackstone’s investments in Refinitiv, Alinamin, Encore, Kronos, Ipreo, and Lendmark.
Before joining Blackstone in 2013, Mr. Dettman worked at Stephens Inc. in its Investment Banking division. Mr. Dettman received a BS from the University of Nebraska and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Fran Golden is a Managing Director in Blackstone Private Wealth and Head of the Product Specialist Group.
Prior to joining Blackstone in 2011, Mr. Golden worked at Legg Mason, where he was responsible for sales and client service for Legg Mason’s equity, fixed income and alternative portfolios.
Mr. Golden earned his MBA from the Widener University where he also holds a BS in Business Management.

Joseph Rocco is a Managing Director and the Treasurer for Blackstone. Mr. Rocco leads Blackstone Global Treasury with responsibilities for balance sheet oversight, cash management, and capital markets activities for the Firm and its funds. Mr. Rocco also leads portfolio management for Blackstone’s perpetual investment vehicles in Infrastructure and Private Equity targeted to individual investors, directing a team responsible for managing portfolio construction, liquidity, and leverage for these platforms.
Prior to joining Blackstone in 2010, Mr. Rocco covered residential mortgage and asset-backed securities ratings at Moody’s.
Mr. Rocco holds an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a BS in Finance from Fordham University.

Anders Nielsen is a Managing Director and Head of EMEA Investment Strategy in Blackstone Private Wealth. Blackstone Private Wealth’s mission is to bring institutional quality products across a broad spectrum of alternative asset classes to high net worth clients and their advisors. Mr. Nielsen joined Blackstone in 2022.
Prior to his current role he spent almost 14 years at Goldman Sachs. He was head of the Macroeconomic Research and Investment Team in the Global Portfolio Solutions group, where he was responsible for the macro component of the group’s investment process. Before that, he held several macro roles in Global Investment Research in Goldman Sachs, with a particular focus on asset allocation.
Mr. Nielsen holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University and a B.Sc. in Economics from University of Aarhus, Denmark.

Viral Patel is the CEO and a member of the Board of Directors of BXPE. Mr. Patel is a member of the Investment Committees for BXPE and Blackstone Growth.
Mr. Patel has been with Blackstone since 2005. He played a leading role in the launch of Blackstone Tactical Opportunities, as well as the incubation and development of several other Blackstone businesses. Before joining Blackstone, Mr. Patel was a member of the Credit Suisse Structured Products business. He has served on the boards of various Blackstone portfolio companies.
Mr. Patel graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University with a B.S. in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering.

Katie Keenan is the Global Head of Core+ Real Estate and the Chief Executive Officer of Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust (“BREIT”). She serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors of Blackstone Digital Infrastructure Trust (NYSE: BXDC). She previously served as the Global Co-Chief Investment Officer of Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies (“”BREDS””) and the Chief Executive Officer, President and a Director of Blackstone Mortgage Trust (NYSE:BXMT), a publicly-traded commercial mortgage REIT managed by Blackstone.
Prior to joining Blackstone in 2012, Ms. Keenan held positions at G2 Investment Group, Lubert-Adler Real Estate Funds and in the Real Estate Investment Banking Group at Lehman Brothers.
Ms. Keenan graduated cum laude with an AB in History from Harvard College. She is a member of the Board of Directors of SparkYouth and Getting Out and Staying Out, the Advisory Board of Governors of NAREIT, and WX New York Women Executives in Real Estate, and served as a 2025 Partnership for New York City David Rockefeller Fellow.

Greg Blank is the Chief Executive Officer of Blackstone Infrastructure Strategies (BXINFRA) and a Senior Managing Director in the Infrastructure group where he is the Global Head of Digital Infrastructure for Blackstone Infrastructure. Since joining Blackstone, Mr. Blank has worked in both the New York and Hong Kong offices in the Private Equity and Infrastructure groups; and has been involved in the execution of numerous Blackstone investments, including QTS Realty Trust, Signature Aviation, AirTrunk, a data center joint venture with Digital Realty, Phoenix Tower International, Hotwire Communications, NCR, Kronos, Paysafe, Blue Yonder, Ipreo, and Optiv.
Prior to joining Blackstone, Mr. Blank was an Associate at Texas Pacific Group (TPG) in San Francisco where he was involved in the evaluation and execution of private equity transactions. Prior to that, Mr. Blank worked in investment banking at Goldman, Sachs & Co. focused on Technology, Media and Telecommunications clients.
Mr. Blank received an AB in Economics from Harvard College, where he graduated magna cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Blank also earned an MBA with High Distinction from the Harvard Business School, where he graduated as a Baker Scholar. Mr. Blank serves on the Board of Directors of BXINFRA, QTS Realty Trust, Signature Aviation, AirTrunk, and a data center joint venture with Digital Realty.
In 2025, Mr. Blank was selected as a Fellow of the eighth class of the Finance Leaders Fellowship Program of the Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.

Brad Marshall is the Global Head of Private Credit Strategies, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of both Blackstone Private Credit Fund (BCRED) and Blackstone Secured Lending Fund (BXSL) in Blackstone Credit and Insurance (BXCI) based in New York.
Prior to joining Blackstone in 2005, Mr. Marshall worked in various roles at RBC, including fixed income research and business development within RBC’s private equity funds effort. Prior to RBC, Mr. Marshall helped develop a private equity funds business for TAL Global, a Canadian asset management division of CIBC, and prior to that, he co-founded a microchip verification software company where he served as Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Marshall received an MBA from McGill University in Montreal and a BA (Honors) in Economics from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada.

Mike Carruthers is a Senior Managing Director and the European Head of Private Credit for Blackstone Credit and Insurance (BXCI) based in London. Mr. Carruthers is involved in the origination, researching, structuring, and advising on investments.
Mr. Carruthers re-joined the London team in 2022 after having previously relocated to Toronto, Canada to focus on credit origination efforts in Canada and the Midwest. Mr. Carruthers previously worked in the London office from 2006 – 2019. Prior to joining Blackstone, Mr. Carruthers worked in the investment banking division of Credit Suisse.
Mr. Carruthers graduated with Honors in Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

Brian Kim is the Global Chief Operating Officer of Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies (“BREDS”) based in New York and serves as Chief Executive Officer of Blackstone Private Real Estate Credit & Income Fund (BREC).
Since joining Blackstone in 2008, Mr. Kim has played a key role in a number of Blackstone’s investments including the take private and subsequent sale of Strategic Hotels & Resorts, the acquisition of Peter Cooper Village / Stuyvesant Town and the creation of BRE Select Hotels Corp., Blackstone’s select service hotel platform. Mr. Kim also previously served as the Global Chief Operating Officer of Blackstone’s Core + real estate business.
Prior to joining Blackstone, Mr. Kim worked at Apollo Real Estate Advisors, Max Capital Management Corp. and Credit Suisse First Boston.
Mr. Kim previously served as a board member and the Head of Acquisitions and Capital Markets of Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust, a board member of CorePoint Lodging Inc. and a board member and, Chief Financial Officer of BRE Select Hotels Corp. Mr. Kim received an AB in Biology from Harvard College where he graduated with honors.
