Eugene Cook is a Senior Managing Director and Head of Korea for Blackstone Private Equity. Before opening Blackstone’s Seoul office, Mr. Cook was previously based in Hong Kong and New York, and has been involved in Blackstone’s various investments across North Asia and the United States, including Ayumi Pharmaceutical, Clarion Offshore Partners, Geo-Young, Gridliance, Onyx Renewables, and Simone Accessories. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Geo-Young and Simone.

Before joining Blackstone in 2014, Mr. Cook worked for the U.S. private equity divisions of KKR and the Carlyle Group. He started his career with J.P. Morgan’s Global M&A department.

Mr. Cook received a BA in Economics with Honors from the University of Chicago and an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School.
