Hussein Al Baya

Hussein Al Baya is a Principal focused on impact investing, having joined Blackstone Impact in 2019.

Blackstone’s impact investing platform was launched in the firm’s Strategic Partners group to generate market rate financial returns alongside a positive measurable impact on the environment and society. 

Mr. Al Baya was previously a Principal at Sageview Capital, where he focused on growth private equity investing and was responsible for sourcing, diligence, structuring, and execution, as well as having sector coverage responsibilities for technology and financial services investments.  Prior to that, he was on the investments teams at Valinor Management, Bain Capital, and the Principal Investment Area of Goldman Sachs.  Mr. Al Baya started his career in the Investment Banking Division of Credit Suisse in New York.  

Mr. Al Baya received a Bachelor of Science, with University and College Honors, from Carnegie Mellon University, has attended the London School of Economics, and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.
