Ravi Purohit is a Principal in the Infrastructure Group. Before joining Blackstone, Mr. Purohit spent over 9 years at Alinda Capital Partners, an infrastructure focused private investment firm, most recently as a Managing Director. While at Alinda, Mr. Purohit evaluated and executed investments, dispositions and related transactions involving assets and companies in the transportation, telecommunications, wastewater and energy sectors. Prior to that, Mr. Purohit worked at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP as an Associate, where he focused on mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance. Mr. Purohit received a BA in Political Science from Emory University, where he graduated with honors and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, Pi Sigma Alpha and Omicron Delta Epsilon. Mr. Purohit also received a JD from Columbia Law School, where he graduated as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Mr. Purohit currently serves on the Board of Visitors for Columbia Law School and the Board of Directors of South Asian Youth Action, a non-profit youth development organization in New York City.
