Luv Parikh is a Managing Director in Blackstone’s Tactical Opportunities Group in Singapore. Mr. Parikh is involved in sourcing and executing transactions in Asia-Pacific. Since joining Tactical Opportunities, he has been involved in Blackstone’s investments in Partners Life (New Zealand), DCI Data Centers (pan-Asia) and International Asset Reconstruction Company (Indian NPL platform). Prior to Tactical Opportunities, Mr. Parikh was a Principal (and an Associate) in Blackstone’s Private Equity Group in Mumbai where he was involved in Blackstone’s investments in Trans Maldivian Airways, Hindustan Power, NCC, Monnet Ispat and Nuziveedu Seeds, among others.
Prior to joining Blackstone in 2008, Mr. Parikh was at Lehman Brothers in New York, where he was a part of the Financial Sponsors, Leveraged Finance and Corporate Advisory teams within investment banking. Prior to Lehman, Mr. Parikh was the CEO of an automobile distributorship company in India where he led a successful turnaround in the company’s profitability. Mr. Parikh started his career at Prudential Securities in the Private Equity Placements Group.
Mr. Parikh received a BS in Economics, with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1998. He also received an MBA from Columbia Business School in 2006, where he was a recipient of the Board of Overseers Fellowship and graduated as a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Society.
