Maria Luisa Virseda is a Principal and European credit research analyst, focused on structured credit investments. Ms. Virseda is involved with the analysis of U.S. and European CLOs, including performing diligence on CLO managers, as well as analyzing underlying loan portfolios and CLO structures.
Prior to joining GSO in 2008, Ms. Virseda worked at Washington Square Investment Management, a specialist structured credit investment manager in London where she was part of the team managing Carador Income Fund PLC, a diversified CLO vehicle listed on the London Stock Exchange. Prior to that Ms. Virseda worked for 10 years in Caja de ahorros y Monte de Piedad de Segovia, where she was part of the financial department team. Prior to that Ms. Virseda worked at Hispamer - Banco Santander in the Consumer Finance Division.
Ms. Virseda received a BS in Business and Economics from the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid and a Master in Banking and Finance from Escuela de Finanzas Aplicadas- Analistas Financieros Internacionales. Ms. Virseda is a CFA Charterholder and member of the CFA Institute of Spain.
