Blackstone’s Own Iron Chefs Raise Thousands for Cancer Research

Raised a Total of $1.3 Million Since 2008

On April 11th, Blackstone employees faced off to cook for a cure.  The event, hosted by Blackstone’s Innovations and Infrastructure team, raised $3,000 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training initiative.  Since 2008, Blackstone has raised a total of $1.3 million for Team in Training.

Blackstone employees prepared a selection of food for a panel of their peers and proved themselves true Iron Chef contenders.  Top prizes went to the Jerk Chicken Empanadas, Shot Glass Desserts, and Pepperlicious Stuffed Peppers.

Since 1944, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) has invested more than $875 million into research for a cure for cancers of the blood such as leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s Disease, and myeloma.  LLS created the Team In Training (TNT) initiative in 1988 to provide individuals and groups an avenue to train and raise money in a variety of athletic events across the nation.
