Last week, approximately 250 people were in attendance as Enda Kenny, An Taoiseach (the Irish Prime Minister), and Gerry Murphy, Chairman of Blackstone Europe, unveiled The DoubleTree by Hilton in Dublin, Ireland.
Previously known as the Burlington Hotel, Blackstone purchased the property in 2012 and spent approximately 16 million Euros to refurbish and rebrand the iconic hotel as the first DoubleTree by Hilton property in Dublin. The 500-guestroom hotel has long been a preferred venue for gala events and conferences. Its large banqueting hall can accommodate up to 1,500 people.
The four-star hotel is located in Dublin’s south side, just minutes from the city center, and remains the largest hotel in the Irish capital’s M50 belt.
