Blackstone Passes 50k Veterans Hiring Target Ahead of Schedule; Recommits to New, Additional 50k Veterans Hiring Goal

In April 2013, Blackstone committed to hire 50,000 American veterans, caregivers and spouses across its portfolio over the next five years. This goal was inspired by the White House’s “Joining Forces” initiative championed by First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden.

Today, a full year ahead of schedule, our firm announced that it has reached our hiring target, and will redouble our commitment with a new goal of hiring 50,000 more veterans in the next five years.




These hiring goals are just one part of Blackstone’s broader efforts to support our country’s veterans. Our firm and its portfolio companies also emphasize the importance of creating support structures to help veterans transition into their new private sector careers and retain those jobs.
