More than 40 employees from across business groups at Blackstone recently participated in the Movember Foundation’s annual campaign, which “challenges men to grow moustaches during the month of Movember (formerly known as November) to spark conversation and raise vital funds for its men’s health programs,” which support men affected by prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health problems.
Blackstone’s team was ranked 8th among financial services firms and 27th nationally, raising over $32,500 from friends, family, and colleagues. At Blackstone, the campaign culminated in a moustache competition. The first, second, and third place winners were Matthew Tambellini, Faiz Osman, and Ari Pena, respectively. The following day, members of the Blackstone team were invited to join representatives from other Movember teams to ring the NASDAQ closing bell in support of the campaign.
To date, the Movember community has raised $559 million.
