The Sunday Times has just named Blackstone one of the 100 Best Companies to Work For in its annual Best Companies rankings.
In recognizing Blackstone with this honor, The Sunday Times wrote:
“STRONG ROLE MODELS abound at Blackstone…Sabina Puri, an associate in the hedge fund division, says: ‘There are a lot of inspirational people to be around.’ One of them is Stephen Schwarzman, the chief executive and one of the co-founders who set up the global asset management group 31 years ago, named among Forbes magazine’s most influential people in finance last year. Staff are inspired by his leadership . . . Gerry Murphy, chairman of Blackstone’s European business, says a “flat” hierarchy encourages people of different seniority to work together. ‘And that, I think, is pretty special’ . . . Murphy concludes: ‘Brand Blackstone is important to the people who work here, and the brand, frankly, is the people.’”
Every year, The Sunday Times celebrates and showcases the very best in employee engagement with their Best Companies to Work For list. The award is in its 17th year running and over 857 organisations registered to take part in this year’s survey.
We are extremely proud of this recognition. To be included is a testament to Blackstone’s culture and spirit of teamwork, which make our company a great place to work.
