Last month, the firm hosted its inaugural Blackstone Diverse Leaders Program, a program to identify and attract diverse undergraduate college talent early in their academic careers. These efforts are designed to increase the firm’s pipeline of diverse talent through attracting, training, and ultimately hiring the best talent into the Blackstone analyst program. After a rigorous application and interview process, 30 candidates were selected, representing 15 universities.
The program included a reception to give students the opportunity to speak to Blackstone professionals, technical training and interview preparation. Training the Street, Blackstone’s preferred training vendor, hosted a session focused on technical interview preparation. Other program components included networking sessions with senior and junior professionals, analyst panel discussions, soft-skill training and individual one-on-one time with assigned Blackstone mentors. Blackstone looks forward to cultivating relationships with this highly talented group of Diverse Leaders.
