During the summer of 2016, the Blackstone Charitable Foundation’s Blackstone Connects program brought together nearly 800 Blackstone employees from the New York office to engage in over 3000 hours of volunteer activities with 20 non-profit organizations across the boroughs of New York. The Blackstone Charitable Foundation started Blackstone Connects in 2010, with the intent of providing Blackstone employees with the opportunity to engage in community service and volunteer projects within the communities in which they work and live.
With numerous nonprofit partners on each service day, Blackstone volunteers had the opportunity to select an activity that aligned best with their personal interests and causes. By selecting from these various opportunities, volunteers were able to engage in activities that were personally meaningful or impactful to them, while working alongside their colleagues and teammates. Here are a few highlights of the many causes and nonprofit organizations that our volunteers worked with:
We would like to thank each our 2016 Blackstone Connects partners for working with the Blackstone Charitable Foundation to organize these impactful volunteer days. For more information about these organizations, see below:
Continuing into the fall, the Blackstone Connects program will continue with global volunteer days across our Blackstone offices in London, Dublin, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Mumbai, Singapore, and Sydney.
