64 Blackstone Employees Compete in the Hamptons Half Marathon to Raise Money for LLS

Last weekend, 64 Blackstone employees, representing every business group across the firm, competed in the Team in Training (TNT) Hamptons Half Marathon to raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), an organization that aims to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

This event marks the culmination of Blackstone’s 2015 TNT participation, during which 114 Blackstone employees participated in TNT sponsored endurance events and over $624,000 was raised for LLS, the largest annual contribution by a firm in TNT history. In the eight years Blackstone, the Blackstone Charitable Foundation, and its employees have supported LLS through TNT they have collectively raised $2.8 million and have been named the top NYC corporate fundraiser for six consecutive years.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Cindy and Brian Gavin for opening up their home to celebrate with the Blackstone participants and their families, as well as the Events team for all of their hard work on the Burger Bash and the Hamptons Clam Bake, which was a great conclusion to a successful season.
