36 Blackstone Employees Compete in 100 Mile Bike Ride to Raise Money for LLS

Last weekend, 36 Blackstone employees participated in the 24th Annual Team in Training 100 mile America’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride in Lake Tahoe to raise money for LLS, an organization that aims to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

The Blackstone team was recognized as the #1 fundraising team for the event and Nadim El Gabbani, a Managing Director in Blackstone’s Private Equity Group, was named the #1 individual fundraiser on the team, raising $10,150. The Tahoe event is part of Blackstone’s wider effort to raise funds for LLS and will be followed by Moms in Training and the Hamptons Marathon later this year, for which 148 Blackstone employees are registered to take part.

The Blackstone team has been named Top Corporate Fundraising Team by Team in Training for the past 6 years and, with support from the Blackstone Charitable Foundation, has raised over $2 million for LLS. Since 2008, 480 Blackstone employees have participated in Team in Training sponsored century rides and running events.
