Before joining Blackstone in 2010, Mr. Hubert was responsible for the Financial Institutions Group at Lazard Freres in Paris. His transaction experience in mergers & acquisitions includes the merger between Caisse d’Epargne and Banque Populaire to create BPCE, the sale of Natixis stake in Caceis to Crédit Agricole, the sale of Malakoff Mederic’s stake in Adeslas to Agbar in Spain, the transfer of assets between BNP Paribas and Fortis, the merger between Ixis and Natexis to create Natixis, the acquisition of Fineco Vita by CNP, the acquisition of HSBC French regional banks by Banques Populaires, the restructuring of Louis Dreyfus Group shareholding structure, the strategic partnership between Groupama and La Banque Postale in non life insurance, the acquisition of HVB Securities Services by Caceis, the acquisition of Olympia Capital Management (Bermuda) by Caceis, the sale of a stake in AEW Europe to Caisse des Dépôts, the acquisition of Locindus by Crédit Foncier, the sale of SIIC Invest by Crédit Foncier to Icade, the sale of Puilaetco to KBL European Private Bankers, the merger between Mastercard and Europay, the merger of Groupama and CCAMA, the sale of Lanson to Boizel Chanoine, the acquisition of Kadeos by Accor, the sale of Banco Mello and Seguros Imperio to Banco Comercial Portugues.
Mr. Hubert has also worked on several restructuring transactions including CIFG, BTA and Alliance Bank.
Prior to joining Lazard, Mr. Hubert worked as a Vice President in the Financial Institutions Group of Lehman Brothers and as a Credit Analyst at BNP Paribas.
Mr. Hubert received a Masters Degree from EDHEC and holds a MBA from London Business School.
