Jonathan Lurvey is a Managing Director in Blackstone Advisory Partners.
Before joining Blackstone in 2008, Mr. Lurvey worked at Lehman Brothers in the Global Mergers and Acquisitions Group, focused on energy and infrastructure. Mr. Lurvey also worked as an attorney at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe and has more than fifteen years of transaction experience as an investment banker and lawyer.
Among the recent transactions with which Mr. Lurvey has been involved are: Technip’s acquisition of Global Industries Ltd., Lindsay Goldberg’s sale of Semco Holdings to AltaGas Ltd., E.ON AG’s sale of E.ON U.S. to PPL Corp., the combination of International Power plc and GDF Suez Energy International, the sale of Aquila, Inc. to Great Plains Energy and Black Hills Corp., as well as numerous financing transactions. Additionally, Mr. Lurvey has extensive experience in the context of energy sector restructuring including work on Edison Mission Energy, Dynegy Inc., Homer City Generation, and SemGroup L.P.
Mr. Lurvey received an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School, a J.D. from Duke Law School where he was a member of the Duke Law Journal, and a B.A. from the University of Chicago.
