William S. Oglesby is a Senior Managing Director in Blackstone Advisory Partners LP, based in Atlanta.

Mr. Oglesby leads teams which focus on Healthcare Information Technology; Paper and Packaging; Building Products, as well as Blackstone’s Southeastern Advisory Services activities. 

Mr. Oglesby joined Blackstone in 2004. Before joining Blackstone, Mr. Oglesby was a Managing Director in Credit Suisse First Boston’s Investment Banking division.  He joined CSFB in 2000, when the firm acquired Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, where he was a Managing Director and Head of the firm’s Southeastern Investment Banking activities.  Mr. Oglesby started his career in the early 1980s in New York with Kidder, Peabody & Co., where he held positions in mergers & acquisitions and merchant banking.

Mr. Oglesby graduated with a BA from the University of Virginia as an Echols Scholar and continued his education at Georgia Tech, earning a master’s degree in Industrial Management. 

Mr. Oglesby is a member of the Board of Directors of Advance Auto Parts, Inc., and the Atlanta Mission.
