Steven Winch is a Managing Director of the Hedge Fund Solutions Group and a member of BAAM's Special Situations Investing Group. 

Since joining Blackstone, Mr. Winch has been involved in sourcing, evaluating, and executing direct investment opportunities.

Before joining Blackstone in 2012, Mr. Winch was a senior advisor to Cornwall Capital Management focused on special situations investments.  Prior to that, Mr. Winch was a Vice President at Ripplewood Holdings responsible for sourcing, analyzing, and executing private equity investments in the technology, media & telecommunications and healthcare sectors as well as various distressed opportunities.

Previously, Mr. Winch worked as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company across a range of industries in the U.S., Europe, Asia, South America, and Australia.  He began his career in the Mergers & Acquisitions group of Salomon Brothers Inc. 

Mr. Winch received a B.A. from Duke University, where he graduated magna cum laude and was elected Phi Beta Kappa, as well as an M.B.A. with Distinction from Harvard Business School.  He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
