Shaukat Aziz is a Member of the International Advisory Board.
Mr. Aziz was the Prime Minister of Pakistan from 2004 to 2007. He was previously the Finance Minister of Pakistan. Mr. Aziz was the first Prime Minister of Pakistan to complete a full term in office.
Mr. Aziz had a 30-year career in global finance at Citibank. While at Citi he served in various capacities and countries including Pakistan, Greece, the United States, the United Kingdom, Malaysia and Singapore. He served as head of Corporate and Investment Banking for various regions, Corporate Planning Officer, Country Manager for Citibank in Malaysia and Jordan, and as a board member of several Citibank subsidiaries.. He was appointed Executive Vice President in 1992 and later named head of Citibank’s Global Private Bank based in New York.
Mr. Aziz serves on several boards and advisory boards of profit and non-profit organizations and is a frequent speaker on economic, political and foreign policy matters. He graduated from Gordon College in Rawalpindi in 1967 and received an MBA in 1969 from the Institute of Business Administration in Karachi.
