Before joining Blackstone in 2006, Mr. Karnani was a Partner at Apollo Real Estate Advisors, a global opportunistic real estate firm where he was involved in the investment activities of Apollo's real estate investment funds. His primary responsibilities included the sourcing, underwriting, structuring and management of equity investments. Mr. Karnani joined Apollo in September 1996. Prior to joining Apollo, Mr. Karnani was a member of the real estate consulting practice of Ernst & Young Kenneth Leventhal.

Mr. Karnani graduated with a BS in Finance and International Business from New York University's Stern School of Business.
