Mayank Rawat is an Principal in the Private Equity Group based in Mumbai.

Since joining Blackstone in 2007, Mr. Rawat has been involved in the execution of Blackstone’s investments in Moser Baer Energy, Monnet Ispat & Energy Ltd, Gateway Rail Freight Ltd, Jagran Media, MTAR and Nuziveedu Seeds Ltd.

Before joining Blackstone, Mr. Rawat worked as a Business Analyst with McKinsey & Company. Subsequently he served at Elfsys Embedded Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (a start up in the embedded wireless networks space) as a founding member and director.
 
Mr. Rawat received a B. Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi in 2003 and his MBA in finance from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad in 2007 where he graduated with the President's Gold medal. He is a Silver medalist at the International Physics Olympiad, 1999 and an NTSE scholar.
