Since joining Blackstone, Mr. Kuwahara has been involved in accounting in Japan.

Before joining Blackstone in 2010, Mr. Kuwahara worked for Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s real estate private equity group as a Vice President responsible for accounting in Japan.  Prior to Bank of America Merrill Lynch, he worked for Savills Japan as CFO overseeing real estate investment SPC accounting as well as corporate accounting.  His experience also includes property management accounting at GMAC Commercial Mortgage Japan.

Mr. Kuwahara received a BA in Law from Doshisha University, an MBA from Vanderbilt University and is a CPA.
