Jan Nielsen is a Senior Managing Director in the Private Equity Group and is based in Hong Kong.

Since joining Blackstone in 2005 in London, Mr. Nielsen has been involved in Blackstone’s investments in TDC and Merlin and Merlin's acquisitions of LEGOLAND, Gardaland and The Tussauds Group. Since moving to Asia, Mr. Nielsen has been involved in Blackstone’s investment in Antares Restaurant Group in New Zealand. 

Prior to joining Blackstone, Mr. Nielsen worked at Morgan Stanley as an Associate in the Technology Investment Banking group.

Mr. Nielsen received a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. in Business Administration and Economics from The University of Aarhus in Denmark. Mr. Nielsen is also a CFA Charterholder. He serves as a director of Antares Restaurant Group.
