Before joining Blackstone in 2008, Ms. Kao worked as a tax associate with the law firm of Shearman & Sterling LLP in New York.

Ms. Kao received a JD, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center and a BA with a major in Economics from Brandeis University.  Ms. Kao serves on the Board of Tax Assessment Appeals for the town of Pound Ridge, NY and serves on the Board of Directors of the not-for-profit group The Pound Ridge Association.
