Cedric Guerin is a Vice President in the Corporate and Mergers and Acquisitions Advisory Group and is based in Paris.
Before joining Blackstone in 2010, Mr. Guerin worked for the Financial Institutions Group of Lazard in Paris. He advised on various M&A and restructuring transactions involving complex financial structures. His transaction experience in mergers & acquisitions includes the merger between Caisse d'Epargne and Banque Populaire to create BPCE, the transfer of assets between BNP Paribas and Fortis, the merger between Ixis and Natexis to create Natixis, the acquisition of HSBC French regional banks by Banques Populaires, the strategic partnership between Groupama and La Banque Postale in non-life insurance, the acquisition of HVB Securities Services by Caceis. Mr Guerin has also worked on several restructuring transactions including BTA, Alliance Bank and Société Générale's Tunisian subsidiary.
Mr. Guerin received a master's degree in Business Administration from Assas University in Paris and a specialized postgraduate degree in Finance from ESSEC Business School.
