Since joining Blackstone in 2011, Mr. Blount has been involved in the oversight of various Blackstone investments in the healthcare, industrial and hospitality sectors.

Before joining Blackstone, he was EVP for Blackstone’s LXR Luxury Resorts affiliate for five years.  Prior to that, Mr. Blount was a Principal at Colony Capital LLC for 11 years, responsible for sourcing and structuring new investments, consummating transactions valued in excess of $5 billion and serving on the boards of seven Colony portfolio companies during his tenure.

Mr. Blount received a BS from the University of Southern California and an MBA from USC’s Marshall School. He is a member of the National Graduate Business Honor Society.
