Arthur Liao  is a Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of the Hedge Fund Solutions Group.

Mr. Liao focuses on accounting, compliance, tax and administrative matters.  His current responsibilities include financial analysis and reporting and credit facilities related to the group's funds, compliance and overseeing the group’s treasury and performance functions.  In addition, he is involved in the maintenance of all books and records for the investment vehicles to which the Hedge Fund Solutions group provides investment advice.

Prior to joining Blackstone in 2003, Mr. Liao was a Senior Manager in Ernst & Young’s Asset Management Group, where he supervised audits and provided other advisory services to hedge funds, structured product, investment advisor, bank and broker dealer clients.

Mr. Liao received a BS in Accounting from New York University.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
