The Fund’s principal investment objective is to seek high current income, with a secondary objective to seek preservation of capital, consistent with its primary goal of high current income. The Fund will seek to achieve its investment objectives by investing primarily in a diversified portfolio of loans and other fixed income instruments of predominantly U.S. corporate issuers, including first- and second-lien secured loans and high yield corporate bonds of varying maturities.

The Fund's primary investment objective is designed to provide current income with a secondary objective of capital appreciation. The Fund will employ a long–short strategy investing in first- and second-lien secured loans, high yield bonds and to a lesser extent other fixed income instruments.

Senior Loans are made to U.S. and, to a limited extent, non-U.S. corporations, partnerships and other business entities which operate in various industries and geographical regions. Senior Loans pay interest at rates which are determined periodically by reference to a base lending rate, primarily LIBOR, plus a premium.
