The Blackstone Charitable Foundation recently awarded several grants totaling $1 million to organizations with a focus on entrepreneurship through its Blackstone Organizational Grants program. LeAp was one of nine programs to win a grant and Blackstone is pleased to see the progress it has made for New York City’s students. Read what they have to say about Tomorrow’s Entrepreneurs:
LeAp is excited to announce that its unique entrepreneurial program, Tomorrow’s Entrepreneurs, is in full swing in 13 schools citywide. Serving up to 1,600 underprivileged students in grades 3 through 6, this program aims to give them an understanding of the business world, and teach them how to develop an innovative idea into a successful business venture.
The current class is in the midst of designing and creating their own inventions or businesses, developing materials, and devising comprehensive marketing campaigns. LeAp will host an entrepreneurial conference in Manhattan on June 18th to showcase the top student entrepreneurial projects, bringing together a wide range of entrepreneurs, students, and the Blackstone team who made this all possible.
The students enrolled in the program have demonstrated great enthusiasm about their work, showing promising results for our program’s expansion next year.
