Starting in 2005, Blackstone launched its proprietary hedge fund advisors business operated by Blackstone personnel.

In addition to the investment experience and network of relationships of their investment teams, we believe that our proprietary hedge fund advisors benefit considerably from Blackstone's relationships and resources. Blackstone's various businesses provide a "library" of in-house knowledge across a broad spectrum of industries and access to relationships, portfolio companies and operating executives that can augment the identification and evaluation of our advisors’ investment opportunities and otherwise support their investment activities.

As a result of Blackstone’s diverse activities on Wall Street, these advisors benefit from enhanced access to investment banking firms, consulting groups and a variety of third- party providers.

We regularly evaluate the prospects for new proprietary hedge fund strategies and plan to strategically expand the existing hedge fund platform as opportunities arise.
